There are many men’s and women’s small group Bible study groups that normally meet weekly at 6AM in Panera Bread or Starbucks.

New members are welcome. Contact the church office if you would like to join a small group.

Some discussion items from recent Bible study sessions:

What’s the biggest thing right now keeping you from a deeper, more fulfilling relationship with Jesus?

How would you describe the spiritual state of the American (or 1st CRC) church, and do you have any recommendations for reform?

Some churches are authentic.  What’s different about them? Have you ever been a part of one?

What does God say to those people who are trapped in feelings of inferiority and inadequacy?

Manning speaks of a battle going on inside of us between our desire for more and our fear of change.  Why are we so hesitant to dive into complete obedience to God’s leading?

“In retrospect, the landmark moments in my life are not the gross sins I committed nor the infrequent acts of heroic virtue I performed, but a handful of decisions that involved risk:”   Do you agree with this when you think about your own life?

Why  do some people settle into rigid and unchanging views on God and church by the time they are thirty years old?  . . . Perhaps the major cause of failure individual and community renewal is the very fear of failure itself.”  Why do we not risk?
